Homemade Hair Straightener TreatmentEdit


Going to the salon to have your hair straightened can be really costly. Also, because of all the chemicals, it will do more harm than good in the long run. You will end up with really dry damaged frizzy hair. You can make hair straightener treatments at the convenience of your home without damaging your hair. You will end up with really soft silky smooth hair. It is worth trying 😉

Though this natural hair straightener loosens tight curls, do not use it expecting to have silky straight hair as you would receive from a relaxer or flat-iron. However, you will have noticeably stronger, shiner, deeply conditioned and moisturised hair after the first use. With each use of you will see difference in your curls from tight curls into looser curls and waves.


What you will need:Edit

1 Cup coconut milk 2 Tablespoon olive oil 1 Lemon juive (about 4 tablespoon) 3 Tablespoon cornstarch



Mix the cornstarch and lemon juice until well combined and the mixture has no lumps

Mix the coconut milk with  the olive oil then add the cornstarch mixture and stir continuously on a medium heat until you have a creamy consistency

Apply it on your hair for 1-2 hours wearing a shower cap and a hot towel on top of it

Rinse with shampoo & conditioner

Repeat 2-3 times a week or when needed

Cornstarch helps it into the creamy texture to coat all hair stands.

can we just extract the milk from the coconut or is it better to use the coconut milk available in the market ??

      This lasted 2 washes for me when I tried it but it may depend on your hair texture, I have wavy hair btw
